Modern Auto Midas is committed to ensuring a fair and clear returns process. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for handling returns, exchanges, and refunds.
🧾 Proof of Purchase
No returns will be accepted without valid proof of purchase.
🚚 Courier Charges
Courier fees are non-refundable for both outbound and return shipments.
❌ Non-Returnable Items
- Fuel Pumps that have been fitted
- Electrical Goods (unless defective)
- Opened lubricants or chemicals
- CV Joints, Shafts, and Boots (must be clean and complete)
📦 Incorrectly Supplied Goods
Must be returned within 30 days of purchase.
🔍 Condition of Returned Goods
- Products must not be disassembled, altered, or permanently installed
- Must be returned in original packaging and outer shipping box
- Waybills or labels must not be stuck directly on the product box
✅ Saleable Condition
Returns must be in a saleable condition unless defective.
🧪 Inspection & Testing
Refunds may be withheld until the item is tested and condition verified.
🛡 Manufacturer’s Warranty
A 6-month warranty applies to defective items.
We can assist with sending items for evaluation during the supplier warranty period.
Warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
We are not liable for consequential losses or damages.
📝 Cancellations & Returns Procedure
Do not reject delivery. Instead, accept the goods and initiate a return using one of the methods below:

🕒 Refund Timelines
- Items are returnable within 7 days of delivery
- Returns after 7 days incur a 15% handling fee
- Refunds are processed within 3 business days of receiving the return
- Refunds will be made via the original payment method (e.g. PayFast, Payflex, PayJustNow, Mobicred, etc.)
- If this is not possible, we will contact you for banking details
